Stapler fitted with retaining magnet for last staple - has magnet located at end of magazine opposite feeder slot

The stapler has a magazine (4) which supplies metallic staples to the feeder slot (3). The staples are fed by a plate (6) which moves forward against the compression spring (7). The permanent magnet (10) is located on the outward face of the feeder slot. It has a circular section and is isolated from the frame by a ring (13) made from non magnetic material. The staples are fed individually by the plunger (2). The last staple in the magazine is held in position by the magnet when the previous staple is applied. One magnet pole is on the inside of the slot.
