The equipment unpacks, sorts and re-palletises bottles delivered unsorted in palletised crates. It comprises in succession machines unloading the pallets, unpacking the crates, sorting the bottles, repacking them in crates and re-loading the pallets, together with the necessary conveyors and a buffer storage system for the bottles awaiting repacking. The storage system preceding the repacking machine has a separate storage unit for each kind of bottle, whose capacity is at least equal to the number of bottles making up a pallet load. The conveyors delivering from these units to the machine are loaded only from one of them at a time as desired.
