When the blocking element is in its release position and the lock is opened the user has access to the display elements through the opening. In this position the rotation of the display elements is not transmitted onto the setting elements by the action of pins. The user can alter the position of each display element in relation to the setting element. Each number on the display elements is duplicated so as to appear either through an opening or through windows. When the case is closed and the flap is in the opening the position of any display element in relation to the setting element cannot be altered. When the blocking element is in its release position there is no meshing connection between setting elements and the display elements.
