PURPOSE:To suppress decomposition of organic solvent and prevent deterioration of cell performance dut to storage by using the metal oxide whose surface is decorated by silane coupling agent as the positive electrode active substance of an organic electrolyte cell having light metal negative electrode used. CONSTITUTION:Inside the case 1 made of stainless steel, a collector 6 made of titanium is fused, and over the collector, a positive electrode 5, a separator 7, and a liquid holding material 8 are arranged. On the inner surface of a sealing plate 2, a grid 3 is fused, and over the grid, a negative electrode 4 consisting of lithium sheets is press-fitted. With the sealing plate 2, the case 1 is sealed through a gasket 9, and thus an organic electrolyte cell is formed. As the positive electrode 5 active sybstance of this cell, metal oxide is used which consists of manganess dioxide or cupric oxide whose surface is decorated by silane coupling agent such as trimethyl- chlorosilane or dimethyl-chlorosilane. |
