PURPOSE:To avoid the complexing of the operating part by displaying the toner shortage in the developing device and the overflow of the toner recovery case by a common display device in a dry type electrophotographic copier or the like. CONSTITUTION:A residual toner amount detecting element 61 and overflow detecting element 62 detect the toner level in a case from the presence or not of the toners interposing between lamps and photo detectors and output the signals TEP, OVF respectively. When the toners in the developing device during copying become less, the signal TEP is output by way of an operational amplifier Q50. The signal thereof lights a toner-absence display device 48 by way of a gate G61. When the toners in the toner recovery case increase and become close to an overflow state, the signal OVF is output through an operational amplifier Q51 to light the toner-absence display device 47 through the gate G61 in the same manner as with the TEP. In this case, it may be possible to make the displaying differing from that of the TEP of lighting the device by letting the device flicker. |
