<p>A method for preparing a microsphere using the method of drying in water from an emulsion comprising a water phase and, emulsified therein, an organic phase containing an organic solvent and a polymer being difficult to be dissolved in water, characterized in that (1) an apparatus having a gas separating membrane is used, (2) the emulsion to be subjected to the drying in water is fed to one side of the gas separating membrane, and (3) the organic solvent contained in the emulsion is distilled off to the other side of the gas separating membrane. The method is an improved commercial method for preparing a microsphere which can remove an organic solvent with good efficiency and is desirable also from environmental and hygienic view points, since all the operations of the method can be carried out in a closed system.</p> |
