<p>The electromotor has a thermal protection switch (7) located inside the slot-closure piece (6) of the stator and/or rotor. The switch may be encapsulated in a housing that is shaped to form the slot-closure piece. Alternatively, the switch may be inserted and fixed into a hole in a prefabricated housing shaped as slot closure piece. The housing may be made of glass-fibre-reinforced plastic. The current windings (5) fill the remainder of the space in the slot on the inner side of the encapsulate switch. The advantage lies in the simple installation and removal of the switch: neither of these operations is likely to damage the switch or parts of the motor.</p> |
