<p>The Conveyor car runs on an overhead monorail suspension track. There is a power-driven chassis, in frame form, with a running-roller supporting the load on rails. It works in conjunction with a gear-unit mounted on the frame, with an electric motor. The roller (1) is mounted on the chassis frame (3) so as to revolve independently of the motor and transmission gear. It is connected to the motor by a gear unit free from flexural forces. Two grooved ball-bearings (5) may provide its mounting on a central fixed carrier (4) on a flanged-socket-type shaft. In operation, shaft and gear remain free from bending forces.</p> |
