The automatic navigation and control are for a tracked vehicle, suspended by levitation. The system has two separate channels for data processing and data transmission between the vehicle, the track section and the central control room. The control room contains two completely independent computers which compare the signals received from the two channels with reference values. The computers also transmit and receive data from substations. They can also initiate emergency braking and disconnection of power in the absence of the correct signals. The trains may be fitted with the appropriate receiving and transmitting equipment.
