<p>A housing forming a detenting chamber, to which a feed and a drain line are connected, for a fluid, esp. a beverage, the CO2 content of which is to measured, has two hollow cylindrical chambers in each of which a plunger is positioned. These are in line one behind the other, are rigidly attached together, and their dia are different. The detenting chamber extends between the facing front faces of the plungers, and is connected at one end to the fluid inlet and at the other to the fluid outlet. The feed line passes through one plunger and the drain passes through the other. The plungers act as shut-offs so that in a first position the fluid feed and the fluid drain are open, whilst when the plungers are displaced by an automatic control mechanism into the second position, the inlet and the outlet are closed. The detenting chamber can be connected to a pressure gauge and to a thermometer, and in the first position of the plungers, it has the min vol, whilst in the second position of the plungers its vol is max. Used for determining the carbon dioxide content of a liq such as beer, flowing in a pipeline or contained in a pressure vessel, at predetermined intervals.</p> |
