<p>PURPOSE:To remove remaining malodorous components and ozone not reacted completely and obtain sufficient deodorizing effect by a method wherein an activated carbon adsorption process is further used jointly in a deodorizig method by means of oxidation by ozone and washing by an activated carbon suspending alkaline liquid. CONSTITUTION:Ozone from an ozone generator 3 is mixed with malodorous gas from a fan 1, and the gas is sent into a washing tower 2, and contacted with an alkaline wash liquid into which powder activated carbon is suspended. Gas exhausted from the washing tower 2 is introduced into an adsorption tower 14, and contacted with activated carbon 5 filled, remaining H2S and ozone not reacted are removed, and the gas is exhausted as purified gas 16. The wash liquid is circulated and scattered by means of a slurry pump 11, and a fixed quantity of the liquid is discharged from an overflow pipe 6, and drained after the activated carbon is separated in a sedimetation tank 12. A new wash liquid is supplied with supplementary water 8 from an alkaline solution tank 7 and a powder activated carbon suspending tank 13 while being monitored by means of a pH meter 9.</p> |
