<p>PURPOSE:To collect the sounds of only desired directions, by obtaining the outputs of the microphone units featuring the equal sensitivity and arranged on a straight line through the high-speed and sequential switching by means of the change-over switch. CONSTITUTION:Plural units of microphone unit 4 featuring the equal sensitivity are attached to mike attachment plate 3 and arranged on straight line. One electrode of unit 4 is connected to each fixed contact 6 of change-over switch 5, and then mobile contact 7 is turned in a high speed. Thus the output of each unit 4 is obtained in sequence and through the high-speed switching. Here PA is defined in case the sound is applied vertically to the linear arrangement of units 4 along with PB defined when the sound is applied in parallel respectively. Now if the sound is applied from the direction of PA, the outputs of a'-i' of unit 4 are extracted sequentially with delay of each sampling time. On the other hand, if the sound is applied from the direction of PB, the outputs of a'-i' feature the same level at all times. Thus only the sounds arriving from the direction of PB can be collected by extracting the output when the coincidence is secured among the outputs of units 4 and at one sweep.</p> |
