<p>A lighting system is provided as a retro-fit item made and sold separately from the slotted, light-weight safety helmet (9) for a cyclist on which it is to be mounted. The system comprises an array of LEDs (6). Each is on a lead (5) which projects through an opening (10) in the helmet and is backed by a reflector (8) which serves as a fin, keeping the LED (6) in the desired orientation through the passage of air over the helmet.</p> |
