<p>PURPOSE:To enable stabilized feeding of sheets by providing the tip part of a cassette with a sheet-aligning member standing straight at the bottom plate of the cassette and moving from the position where the front edge of sheet comes into contact therewith to that for escape out of the passage of the fed paper. CONSTITUTION:A sheet-aligning member 8 standing straight against a bottom plate 4 is positioned on the side slightly lagged from a corner pawl 9a. And the corner pawl 9a is devised so that it hold both corners of the front edges of the loaded sheets down to the lowest-positioned sheet. In addition, the engagement part 11 of the lower end part of the sheet-aligning member 8 is projected from the lower surface of the bottom plate. When a cassette is moved in the direction of an arrow (a) under the condition, the engagement part 11 strikes against an engagement member. And, since the engagement part 11 makes rotational movement, the sheet- aligning member 8 escapes from a guide plate 6 and housed in the concave 6a of the guide plate 6. In this way, the sheet-aligning member is devised not to project from the guide plate, thus the sheets being fed in a stable condition.</p> |
