PURPOSE:To reduce a stress applied to a holding ring by forming a wedge by a good conductor wherein electrical connection of the damper at the end section and that in a slot is done through the wedge and the structure of the damper is simplified. CONSTITUTION:A damper 10 in a slot is held by a wedge 11 in a slot. The section contacts with the damper 10 in the slot held by the wedge 11 and a damper ring 8 at the end section is formed by a good conductor. And the wedge 11 is also used for the electrical connection between the damper 10 in the slot and the pectinated section of the damper ring 8 at the end section. In this way, the structure of the damper ring 8 at the end section is simplified and it is unnecessary to thin the thickness of a holding ring 6. Therefore, the stress applied to the holding ring 6 will be reduced. |
