<p>PURPOSE:To unnecessitate an initial exciting circuit by applying an initial exciting voltage from an external system by the direct thyristor exciting method. CONSTITUTION:In order to start a synchronous generator 1, a field circuit breaker 7 and a disconnector 4 are connected and a switch 14 is closed. By this operation, a voltage is applied to a thyristor rectifier 8 and an AVR13 from an external system through a generator transformer 12. The AVR13 detects the output of a generator 1 via a potential transformer 15, and gives a gate triggering control signal to a thyristor-rectifier 8 depending on the difference between the set value and the detected value. After the output voltage of the synchronous generator has been established, the generator circuit breaker 3 is connected, and the synchronous generator 1 is synchronously connected to an external system.</p> |
