<p>The silencer has a body (1) made from metal or plastics. This has one end reduced to form a male threaded connector (5) for screwing into the intake of the compressed air equipment. Internally, a shoulder (6) is provided near the bottom (2) of the wide part. This forms a location for a disc (7) of sintered metal. A spacing ring (10) fits over this and is followed, in succession, by two more sintered metal discs (8,9) with a spacer (11) between. The final disc is retained by an inturned lip (12), the discs being removable for cleaning.</p> |
