<p>The inflatable sail consists of a sheet of plastics or fabric which is fixed along one edge to the mast The mast is able to rotate about its longitudinal axis, and the leading edge of the sail is in front of the mast. The sail is maintained to the correct shape by a wish-bone and a sheet connected to the wish bone. The sail is fitted internally with a number of panels going from one side of the sail to the other in order to maintain its shape. The panels form compartments which are fitted with valves to change the individual pressures.</p> |
