Automatic handler for palletising sacks - has grab which loads one sack at a time and has infinitely variable loading pattern

An automatic handler, is used for loading productsin sacks on to pallets, and comprises a grab (1) which traces a predetermined path. The grab (1) holds one sack at a time, and rotates in the horizontal plane, and translates along rectangular co-ordinates to allow an infinitely variable loading pattern without moving the pallet or the sacks already loaded. By moving only one sack at a time the energy used and the are greatly reduced when compared with sophisticated fully automatic machines operating at higher throughputs.
