摘要 <p>A method of improving the image quality of visual data displays working on the raster principle involves the use of electronic circuitry. The image quality achieved is equal to that of vector type devices but the method does not involve such high production and operating costs as do vector type devices. Each curve to be displayed is made up of individual elements each consisting of a base element and an additional element. The distribution of the intensity of the base elements and additional elements depends on the individual position and length of the associated curve element. The method thus involves two setps. These are first to calculate the position and length of the individual curve elements and secondly to allocate intensity values to the base and additional components. The steps in the methodology are regulated by a program algorithm.</p>
