PURPOSE:A composition with immunizing and carcinostatic activity and acceleration of carcinostatic or antibiotic activities, which is composed of a product that is obtained by removing proteins from the extract of bee poison glands. CONSTITUTION:A carcinostatic or antibiotic agent is prepared by the use of the product obtained by removing protein from the extract from the content in bee poison glands with an organic solvent such as acetone or alcohol or phenol to precipitate the proteins. The above extract is obtained by extracting the poison glands with water or saline, heating to 50-100 deg.C, removing the precipitate formed, and further removing the ether-soluble part. The above product shows excellent immunization and anticarcinogenic activities. Moreover, the combination with other carcinostatic agents such as mitomycin C or antibiotics such as penicillin develops remarkable increase in each effectiveness. |
