The invention relates to a dust- and moisture-proofing structure for an imaging device mounted on a small thin electronic device. Concretely, the invention provides an imaging device characterized by comprising, in order to prevent entry of dust or moisture from the outside into an imaging element in an imaging device, an imaging element, a pedestal formed with a leg abutting against the imaging element, an imaging optical system for guiding the light from the subject to the imaging region of the imaging element, and an outer frame member which contains the imaging element, pedestal and imaging optical system, wherein the pedestal or the pedestal and part of the outer frame member seal the space of the imaging element on the photoelectric conversion surface side. Further, the invention relates to an imaging device in which a cam member formed on a region other than the imaging optical system causes the peripheral surface thereof to be positioned projecting beyond the cam surface, the surface being subjected to infrared ray cut coating; and an imaging device arranged to mount and assemble the members constituting such imaging device from the same direction. |
