<p>A liquid transfer valve having an internal segmenting passageway and at least one external hollow loop of precise internal volume thereby to provide the different volumetric amounts of a liquid sample for dilution, each amount directed with a common amount of diluent at the same time to different predetermined locations. An additional external loop is provided, if desired, to give the same valve assembly the capability for dealing with a prediluted sample to be directed first to a first testing apparatus and next, as a segmented portion with a given amount of diluent to a second testing apparatus. Structure is provided to accomplish rinsing (backwashing) with diluent during the delivery condition of the valve.</p> |
