<p>The moistening system is for bunches of flexible material particularly tobacco leaves. The base of the bunch is secured in a clamp, and it is passed through a chamber where water is sprayed. The bunches are transported through the chamber hanging by their stalks, and rotated about the axes of the latter in the process. The direction of rotation can be reversed as they pass through, and turbulence can be generated in the air, typically by air jets used to spray the water.</p> |
