The parent patent described use of a conveyor with a series of suction pads at intervals for seizing the leading edge of portions of tubular film freshly cut from a continuous film for transfer to ancillary equipment for converting the panels of tubular film into bags. This addn. describes use of a pair of ancillary conveyors beneath the one with the suction pads and converging with it. The first oscillates vertically to support the leading edge arriving level with the underside the main conveyor. The second moves slightly faster than the main conveyor to transfer the film onwards so that the leading edge is released at a consistent position relative to the motion of the main conveyor. The addn. improves the repeatability of the interval between the positions of the leading edges of successive portions of the tubular film.
