The invention relates to an aquarium with an at least partially transparent container 1 for water that is intended to accommodate the fish and comprises an open water vessel 4, with a transparent dome 2, closed at the top, mounted over its opening. When the aquarium is in operation, the dome is intended to be essentially filled with water. A water basin 12 is arranged at a certain distance under the vessel 4, and an outlet 15 is provided in order to permit the water to flow from the container to the basin 12. An inlet pipe 21 extends from the basin 12 to the container, and a pump 20 is connected to the inlet pipe 21 in order to permit the transfer of water from the basin 12 to the container. A tube 9 is provided whose upper end essentially reaches the highest point in the dome so that air can escape from the dome when the container is being filled. <IMAGE> |
