PURPOSE:To improve the cooling effect and the external appearance by a method wherein a spacer in a bar shape is arranged on the external circumference in the direction of the axis of a coil that has been hardened to such a degree that impregnated resin may not leak, and a cover is put on the spacer, which is then hardened. CONSTITUTION:A coil impregnated with photo-hardening resin is turned at a fixed speed, and a leakage-proof film is formed on the surface of the coil by irradiating ultraviolet rays to the external circumference of the coil. A spacer 6 is arranged on the external circumference of the coil in the direction of the axis of the coil 1. Unhardened resin is coated on the spacer 6 and the external circumference of the coil beforehand. A good heat-conductive and non-magnetic material such as Al, etc. is molded into a U-shape and used as a spacer. An insulating tape to which prepleg processing has been added is wound onto the external circumference of the spacer, and a cover is given to it, then the coil is again heated and hardened. By so doing, the external appearance is excellent, and in addition a ventilating passage 8 is formed between the external circumference of the coil and the cover, serving as a chimney helping ventilation, while the spacer attached to the external circumference of the coil contributes to heat radiation, thus by far improving the cooling effect of the coil. |
