PURPOSE:To automatically detect the concentration of hydrogen peroxide, by electrolyzing the hydrogen peroxide solution by taking the cathode potential constant and measuring the electrolysis current. CONSTITUTION:The potential of the test electrode (cathode) is set to the potential selectively causing the reduction reaction of H2O2 (about +600mV or less to saturated calomel electrode base, e.g., within about -200mV-+600mV in acidic water solution including metal ions) at about electrolysis temperature 50 deg.C or less, and the electrolysis current is measured after about 0.5-10min (preferrably 1-5min) after the start of electrolysis, and the concentration of H2O2 is detected by using the corelation between the said current value and the concentration of H2O2. |
