The marking pole is mainly for ski tracks and is used to mark slalom gates and track edges. It has a rigid base (2) with a sharp point which is pushed into the snow or the ground. The body of the pole (3) is a tube of supple material which is inflated, the pressure of air keeping it vertical. The tube is inflated through a valve (5) in a semi-rigid part (4) which joins the base to the body. It has annular exterior ribs (6) to facilitate putting it in place and pulling it out. |
