PURPOSE:To alternate automatically a calculation mode and clock mode by making a fluid switch respond by changing the angle that a display part and the horizontal plane contain. CONSTITUTION:In electronic desk-top calculator TD with a clock, fluid switch SS with switch terminals S1 and S2 and mercury Hg in an airtight container is incorporated, and calculator TD is provided with display unit DS and keyboard KB. Then, terminals S1 and S2 of switch SS are placed in a mutual short or insulating state by changing the angle that display unit DS and the horizontal plane on a desk top contain, so that it will be made possible to alternate a clock mode and calculation mode automatically. In parallel to this switch SS, slide switch SL is arranged to set automatically alternate the modes through the operation of switch SS when the sliding contact of switch SL is set to position B. When the contact is at position A, the calculation mode is set and when at position C, the clock mode is set, so that the calculation mode and clock mode can be selected without reference to the angle of display unit DS. |
