A modified polysiloxane contains, as separate phases, (a) a polysiloxane, and (b) a polyurea; opt. there is partial chemical and/or physical bonding between the phases. The prod. is used in 1- or 2-component compsns., hardening at room temp. and based on OH-terminated organopolysiloxanes, cross-linking agents, and opt. catalysts and other additives. The modified polysiloxane can be prepd. quickly without elaborate appts. It is free-flowing without a solvent, and is storage-stable. Vulcanisation gives a non-tacky silicone rubber, with better resistance then known organopolysiloxanes contg. organic modifiers.
