PURPOSE:To save the fuel and to achieve stable down-slope travelling, by switching to neutral travelling upon detection of a slow travelling condition and releasing the neutral travelling when the travelling speed exceeds a minimum speed suitable for a down-slope. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 13 is provided to produce a control command for neutral travelling and other various control commands. Said computer 13 is fed with outputs from an acceleration sensor 9, release switch 10, N (neutral) switch 11, down-slope sensor 12 and can speed sensor 1 for the purpose of neutral control. Upon detection of a slow travelling speed, a neutral command is produced to activate the N valve 7 through a drive circuit 15. On the other hand, when the travelling speed exceeds a speed suitable to an inclination signal from the down- slope sensor 12, a reset signal is produced to reset the neutral travelling. |
