PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve identification of a highly reliable and highly efficient database. SOLUTION: An active system TM section 22a notifies an active system DBMS section 23a and a standby system TM section 22b of update data of transactions. The active system DBMS section 23a notifies the standby system DBMS section 23b of updated data by asynchronous communication, while reflecting the update data from the active system TM section 22a in a database managed by itself. The standby system TM section 22b stores the notified updated data in a difference table 36b, reads the update data from the difference table 36b with a predetermined trigger and reflects it in a standby system DBMS section 23b. The standby system DBMS section 23b reflects the update data acquired from the active system DBMS section 23a or the standby system TM section 22b in the database managed by itself.
