PURPOSE:To make it possible to constitute a multirepeating transmission line flexible for the installation point of the repeater, by lowering the transmission speed of a series transmission light signal and by transmitting it in parallel through multicore fibers and by coupling it into one series transmission light signal. CONSTITUTION:The series transmission light signal transmitted by high-speed multirepeating transmission line L consisting of one optical fiber is received by distributing repeater S. Repeater S distributes the light signal into N-number parallel signals of the 1/N transmission speed of the light signal and transmits these N- number parallel light signals by multicore optical fiber M. N-number light signals transmitted by fiber M are received by coupling repeater R and are coupled into one series light transmission signal and are transmitted to high-speed multirepeating transmission line L. The transmission speed of the signal is reduced to the 1/N in fiber M, and the input of the light receiver to obtain a normal transmission quality can be reduced by transmission speed reduction components; and when no repeater can be installed within a prescribed repeating distance, the repeating distance can be extended, so that a flexible multirepeating transmission line can be constituted. |
