PURPOSE:To make it possible to confirm the time setting state in any case by periodically read to display data of minute in the timing circuit receiving time setting pulses in response to manual operation within a display response frequency of a liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION:When a time setting switch 30 is closed for performing the time setting operation, a terminal L assumes ''1'' level, and a gate circuit 144 is closed and a gate circuit 145 is opened. For this reason, gate circuits 11 and 14 are not opened even when a pulse is generated at a terminal P1, but gate circuits 12 and 15 are opened. Therefore, the display part of seconds sustains nonlighted state, and display parts of minute and hour are possible to display. Accordingly, even when the pulse frequency from a time setting pulse generator 29 is higher than the stroke frequency of a latch circuit, the display part of minute (hour) is corrected by its supplied pulse. When the correction is completed to open a switch 30, the display part of seconds displaying ''0'' seconds is lighted. By this procedure, even in any state, the time setting state can be confirmed. |
