<p>A display illuminating device (12) comprising tubular light sources (17) disposed in parallel and cover members (20) covering respective ends of the tubular light sources (17), wherein an electrode (41) is disposed at each of the ends of the tubular light sources (17) and each of the cover members (20) is provided with a conductive terminal (24) which is electrically connected to the electrode (41). That is, in addition to a fundamental covering function of the cover members (20), which is to cover the ends of the tubular light sources (17) to make them invisible, a conductive connection function is also given to the cover members (20) for connecting between the tubular light sources (17) and an external power source. Accordingly, it is made possible to improve an assembling efficiency of the display illuminating device (12) as well as to supply power reliably to the tubular light sources (17).</p> |
