PURPOSE:To increase the max. image density of a direct positive image and to lower the min. image density by using specific nucleation accelerators. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive material is provided with an emulsion layer contg. internal latent image type silver halide particles which are not previously fogged. Said material is formed by adding >=1 kinds among the nucleation accelerators expressed by formula I-IV to, for example, the above-mentioned emulsion layer or the adjacent layer thereof. In formulas, M denotes H, alkali metal, etc.; R denotes H, group which can substitute H; (n) denotes 1-4; R1-R9 denote H, mercapto group, etc. After this photosensitive material is subjected to imagewise exposing, the material is subjected to fogging processing or development processing under the fogging processing to form the direct positive image. The compd. expressed by formula V is usable for the nucleating agent. |
