At least one slot wedge (10) is disposed in the longitudinal groove of a stator, reciprocally interacting with a fixing wedge (19) which has teeth (23). The end (30) of the slot wedge (10) facing the fixing wedge (19) has a diagonal surface on which a corresponding diagonal surface lies on one end of the fixing wedge (19). A blocking clip (31) is provided which is mounted in the ventilation channel (32) of the stator (1). The parts of the blocking clip (31) running roughly parallel with the floor of the groove lie closely on the corresponding surfaces of the fixing wedge, while the side parts of the blocking clip are located at a distance from the side surfaces of the fixing wedge (19). A device of this type allows the re-tightening of the wedges which have become loose in the core groove of an electric machine to be carried out in simple fashion. Furthermore, it substantially reduces the weakening of the pressure on the winding due to the axial shift of the wedges and increases the operational reliability of the electric machine as a whole. <IMAGE>
