Winding device with moving arm to form windings - fits in chambers for making field coils and coil sets for electric motor

The device has an arm via which wire passes into the consecutive chambers. A cog cooperates with a pawl rotatable about the same axis and has a shutter partially covering its teeth. The pawl is driven by an electromotor and pivots through 180 deg. in order to cause the arm to jump from one chamber to the next. At the same time the cog rotates through a given angle, dependent on the position of the shutter, and the movement of the pawl is transferred to the arm. A slide sits on the arm and is moved by an endless chain. The chain wheel is preceeded by a gear that transfers the pivoting motion of the cog in both directions to the chain wheel.
