PURPOSE:To obtain the switching matrix having the simplified operating mechanism by arraying a plurality of the units, which are disposed with sector-form reflecting mirrors on revolving shafts in the specified plural positions, in the column directions. CONSTITUTION:Sector-form switching reflecting mirrors 5-12 are disposed on the circumference of a revolving support rod 4 at every specified spacing so as to differ by a fixed angle to form a row unit and (n) pieces of these are disposed in such a manner that the opposing reflecting mirrors array in the column direction to constitute the optical path switching matrix. In this constitution, the communication path setting from the optical fiber Y2 on the input side up to the optical fiber X3 on the output side is made possible by rotating the support rod 4 having the reflecting mirrors at the point of intersection of the fibers Y2, X2 by a driving motor 13 to let the reflecting mirror 7 selectively enter the optical path of the fiber Y2 at the specified angle and letting the light beam be reflected and entered to the fiber X3. A rotating position detecting circuit 14 is provided in order to give adequate instructions at the correcting of the rotating angle of the motor 13 and switching operation. Hence, the optical path setting is accomplished readily by the rotation of the support rods 4 alone. |
