The present invention relates to a method to manufacture a stainless steel and, more specifically, relates to a method of manufacturing a Ti-containing stainless steel reducing surface defects of the slab and nozzle clogging by preventing nitrogen pick-up and generation of high-meting point inclusions. According to an aspect of the present invention, the method of manufacturing stainless steel comprises: a molten steel refining step of refining Ti-containing molten stainless steel in a refining furnace; and a ladle furnace treatment (LT) step of melting the molten steel in the ladle to deoxidize or adjust components of molten steel. Prior to melting the refined molten steel in the ladle, included is a step of adding calcium carbonate (CaCO_3) to the ladle and melting the refined molten steel in the ladle. In the deoxidization step of the ladle furnace treatment (LT), Al is inputted and Ca inputted firstly. In the composition adjustment step of the ladle furnace treatment (LT), a part of Ti is firstly inputted, the rest of Ti inputted secondarily, and then Ca inputted secondarily. According to the present invention, the method of manufacturing stainless steel has an effect of manufacturing high-quality Ti-containing stainless steel without the generation of nozzle clogging. |
