PURPOSE:To unify the retention time of synthetic resin, etc. by a mechanism wherein the kneading portions of two kneading shafts mounted in parallel into a casing are formed in noncircular section portions at the both sides in the axial direction of circular section portions and the circular section portions of the both shafts are conformed in the radial direction one another. CONSTITUTION:Materials such as synthetic resin, etc. charged into a charging port 2 are fed into a kneading portion B while being melted in a feed portion A, and kneaded. The materials to be kneaded such as synthetic resin, etc. are pushed in the circumferential direction because rotors 4 in the kneading portion B are made up so that clearances with the inner circumferential surface of a chamber largely change along the circumferential direction in noncircular portions 44. Shearing action is simultaneously produced due to relative motion among the rotors and an inwall of the chamber, and kneading is promoted. Since clearances are hardly formed among the circular section portions 45 of the rotors 4 and the inwall of the chamber in the circular section portions 45, a current of the materials in the axial direction is interrupted at the portions, and the materials are let flow to the reverse side of the chamber. Thus, the materials are zigzag directed in shapes that move to the reverse side of the chamber every time they reach the circular section portions, and resin not melted, which flies in air, also stalls and melts into melted resin. |
