Timing control of radio transmission from probe - is provided by timing circuit initiated at moment of release

The radio transmitter on a meterological probe for signalling weather conditions is irreversibly started and stopped by the operator. This is necessary to avoid transmissions causing false information to be received during conditions of low weather layers. Timing circuits for the sonic radio-transmitter have four different timing periods. These are initialised by a circuit (3) which is automatically reset to zero by disconnection and reconnection in the event of a delay to the moment of release. A diode circuit (4) prevents resetting to an operational state when the battery voltage falls to a predetermined level. The timing circuit (1) determines the moment when the transmitter is disconnected.
