<p>The safety catch for windsurfer-harness is for known equipment. The connector-cum-overload-release is modified and is now a hook (2) pivoted about a pin (1) in one end of a pair of cheek-pieces (4, 5) of flexible synthetic material, attached to the rider. The hook is prevented from rotating and releasing the boom by a ball (3) in an extension of the hook shank, sprung into recesses (4a, 5a) in the cheek-pieces. A clamping device (5) through the cheek-pieces permits variation of the release load. Elongation of the pivot hole in the hook, and guide-grooves (4b, 5b) in the cheek-pieces facilitate resetting after release.</p> |
