Composition comprises: (a) 10 wt.%, preferably 25 wt.% of fatty substances different from polyalkoxylated fatty alcohol or polyglycerol, preferably non-silicone liquid; (b) polyalkoxylated fatty alcohol and/or polyglycerol; (c) oxidation base consisting of (2,5-diaminophenyl)ethanol and its acid salts/solvates e.g. hydrates; (d) optionally coupler; (e) optionally alkalizing agent; and (f) chemical oxidizing agents. Independent claims are included for: (1) dyeing human keratinous fibers, preferably hair, comprising applying the composition on the fibers; and (2) a multi-compartment device comprising a first compartment containing the composition (A or A1), and a second compartment containing the composition (B or B1).
