The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device which comprises: a lower substrate; a thin film transistor located on the lower substrate; a color filter layer located on the thin film transistor; a liquid crystal layer located on the color filter layer; and an upper polarization plate located on the liquid crystal layer and having a plastic substrate, a polarizer, and a protection layer which are sequentially stacked from the liquid crystal layer. Therefore, the liquid crystal display device can prevent misalignment by forming the thin film transistor and the color filter layer on the same substrate.
