<p>A tray for supporting bottles in close-packed rows is made from a plastic or fibrous sheet material moulded to provide surface nodules in complementary polygonal patterns to control the spacing of the bases of the bottles. Esp. suitable for collecting empty bottles to be stored in stacked layers and/or removed by automatic multiple grab hoists. Tray for holding alternating rows of 12 and 11 bottles in radial contact is described, which is simpler and more compact than use of ancillary multi pocket partitions supported on a flat tray.</p> |
