The present invention discloses an apparatus and a method for controlling a blower of an artificial ventilator. A method for controlling a blower of an artificial ventilator according to embodiments of the present invention is capable of smoothly maintaining inhalation and exhaust of the patient and is capable of maximizing compliance of the patient with respect to a continuous positive airway pressure by increasing a predetermined standard hydraulic pressure value to a target positive pressure value derived according to a change in expiratory pressures in case of inspiration during breathing of a patient and decreasing a hydraulic pressure of the target positive pressure value to a critical negative pressure value derived according to a change in expiratory pressures in case of expiration during breathing of the patient, and then intermittently controlling a hydraulic pressure supplied to mouth and nose of the patient in accordance with breathing events of the patient according as gas is supplied to the patient at a predetermined standard hydraulic pressure value, thereby reducing burden for breathing during inspiration and promptly removing a pressure applied to the nasal cavity of the patient during expiration. |
