THE METHOD OF AUTO STITCHING AND PANORAMIC IMAGE GENERTATION USING COLOR HISTOGRAM

A technique of a realistic media service has been developed, but an image expression technique capable of providing reality and immersion to a user is at an insignificant level, and an existing free viewpoint image, which has been studied, has a limit in equipment, a viewing angle, an image quality, and the like, so a research to overcome such limitations is acutely needed, and there is a limit in expression of a realistic image. To overcome such problems, the apparatus comprises: an input image acquisition unit (100); a similarity measurement unit (200); an automatic image alignment unit (300); and a panoramic image generation unit (400). The present invention provides a method for automatically generating a matchingpanoramic image by using color information, capable of contributing to high quality of an interactive broadcasting technology which a user can freely control a viewpoint by generating a new viewpoint at a 3D location, and providing a realistic space such that the user feel as if the user is in the real space by automatically generating a panoramic image with an image obtained from an image obtaining device without a special user input.
