PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable rapid heat-up and down corresponding to various kinds of treated products.SOLUTION: In a heat treating furnace 10, with a state that atmosphere of a first space 11a is heated with a first heater 21a and atmosphere of a second space 11b is heated to higher temperature than the first space 11a with a second heater 21b, a treated product 96 transported in the first space 11a by a first transporting roller 20a is transported by a gear changeable transporting roller 20c at an appointed speed in a gear changeable range faster than the first and second transporting rollers 20a and 20b through a transporting passage 11c to the second transporting roller 20b. A gap height H of the transporting passage 11c is 25 to 35 mm. A transportation direction length L of the transporting passage 11c is more than 3 times of the gap height H.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
